Provided evaluation and recommendations for reconstruction of a landmark timber frame barn near Ebey’s Landing. Completed: spring 2001.

PARENT TRUST OF WASHINGTON, Seattle WA
Da+ is again working with Parent Trust to envision a future home for this wonderful organization and its vitally important programs. Working closely with staff, board, professionals, and clients, da+ is bringing its collaborative approach to programming, site selection, and design vignettes for PTWC’s capital campaign.

ONE NORTHWEST, Seattle WA
dA+ helped One Northwest make office improvements to further their mission of advancing “new tools and strategies to connect the people and organizations that protect the environment of the Pacific Northwest.”

CHILDREN’S TRUST FOUNDATION, Seattle
DeForest Architects facilitated CTF’s move to share space in another non-profit’s office in Pioneer Square. In addition to space planning, dA+ staff spent the day before Thanksgiving building out a portion of the new space.

PARENT TRUST OF WASHINGTON, Seattle WA
dA+ lead a team including a general contractor, structural and mechanical engineers to evaluate the adaptive re-use of a union hall in Georgetown as office and classroom space for PTW.

SEATTLE WORKS OFFICE, Seattle WA
Designed and oversaw construction of a 1200 SF office space for this small non-profit. Design involved the innovative use of low-cost materials such as exposed parallel-strand lumber, shop-grade maple plywood, and translucent greenhouse panels.

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS FAMILY READING ROOM, Seattle WA
Designed and oversaw renovation of a former schoolroom into a center for community reading programs. Low-cost shelving and donated furniture were combined with custom elements to create areas for performances and projects as well as group and individual reading.
